Techugo Strengthens Presence in GovTech Landscape with 35 Projects

New Delhi: Techugo, a leading digital transformation partner for businesses and government institutions, has announced a major expansion of its e-governance footprint in India. The company has set an ambitious goal of delivering 35 high-value government technology projects by FY26, with the overall project value pegged at ₹23 crore. This pipeline reinforces Techugo’s growing role in India’s evolving govtech ecosystem and underscores its mission to drive large-scale digital impact across public governance.

    Strengthening India’s Digital Governance Ecosystem

The projects span diverse areas including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), blockchain, cloud networking, cybersecurity, mobility solutions, app/software development, and digital marketing. Each solution is guided by a unifying vision: fast-paced digital transformation through governance that is efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric.

Currently, Techugo is working with some of the country’s most influential institutions such as the Textile Committee of India, the Department of Information Technology, the Ministry of Defence (including the Indian Navy), and the National Informatics Centre (NIC). By collaborating with these strategic bodies, Techugo is positioning itself not merely as a service provider but as an innovation partner for governance reform.

    Delivering Impact Through Technology

Techugo’s solutions are designed to help ministries and government departments streamline their operations by automating workflows, enhancing interdepartmental collaboration, and digitizing public record management. These initiatives aim to reduce paperwork, cut down delays, and make citizen services accessible 24/7.

For citizens, this translates into simpler registrations, faster grievance redressals, and seamless online payments. For government officials, Techugo is enabling real-time monitoring dashboards and data-driven decision-making tools, allowing them to respond quickly to emerging challenges while reducing dependency on manual processes.

    Leadership Vision

Speaking on the announcement, Abhinav Singh, CEO of Techugo, emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to national digital goals.

“Our vision is not just to develop software. We aim to empower the government with technology that is secure, scalable, and future-ready. Completing 35 projects by FY26 is not just a milestone for us but a meaningful step toward realizing Digital India’s vision of inclusive and citizen-centric services. We are proud to work alongside top government organizations to create digital products that will leave a lasting impact on governance and public life.”

Singh’s statement highlights Techugo’s intention to be more than a technology vendor—it seeks to be a key enabler of India’s Digital Governance agenda.

    Tackling Complex Governance Challenges

Government technology projects often face hurdles such as delayed onboarding, multi-layered approvals, compliance formalities, and diverse stakeholder interests. Techugo has built its reputation by handling these complexities with a structured project management approach that includes phased rollouts, continuous stakeholder communication, and rigorous adherence to timelines.

Data security remains another critical focus area. Recognizing the sensitivity of government data, Techugo implements end-to-end encryption, secure storage mechanisms, and frequent compliance audits to protect against cyber threats. By ensuring robust safeguards, the company strengthens trust and reliability in its digital solutions for the public sector.

    Looking Beyond FY26

While FY26 is set to mark a major milestone with the completion of 35 projects, Techugo is already looking ahead. The company envisions playing a larger and long-term role as a digital partner to the government and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Key opportunities lie in upcoming smart governance projects such as Smart Cities, e-Health, and e-Education, where technology adoption is expected to accelerate rapidly.

Leveraging its expertise in **AI-powered citizen services—chatbots, predictive analytics, and grievance redressal platforms—**Techugo is poised to become a catalyst for shaping the future of governance in India.

Bengaluru’s Harrow School Wins World’s Best Designed School Award

    • A proud moment for Indian architecture and design excellence making waves worldwide.
    • Only school globally to be recognised in the Citation Awards category.

Global Recognition at LOOP Design Awards 2025

New Delhi, 24th September 2025: Harrow International School, Bengaluru, designed by CP Kukreja Architects (CPKA), has been honoured as one of the winners in the Architecture – Educational Buildings category at the LOOP Design Awards 2025. Selected from over 550 entries across 49 countries, the project stood out for its innovative integration of heritage, ecology, and pedagogy.

Organised in Portugal, the LOOP Design Awards celebrate innovation and excellence in architecture, interiors, and product design. This year’s edition showcased outstanding projects from leading practices worldwide, with Harrow International School, Bengaluru, emerging as a global benchmark in educational architecture.

Extending a 450-Year Legacy into India

Marking Harrow’s first campus in India, the school reinterprets the legacy of the 450-year-old institution within Bengaluru’s cultural and ecological context. The masterplan revolves around a preserved natural water channel, which serves as both a landscape feature and a unifying spatial organiser.

Academic, residential, cultural, and athletic facilities are interwoven with courtyards, shaded pathways, and landscaped spines, creating a seamless dialogue between the built and natural environment.

    Voices of Leadership

Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chairman, Governing Body, Harrow International School Bengaluru, said:

“Education is as much about the spaces in which it unfolds as it is about the curriculum it imparts. At Harrow International School Bengaluru, architecture becomes a catalyst for learning. This global recognition affirms our belief that schools must nurture not only academic excellence but also cultural awareness, ecological sensitivity, and responsible citizenship.”

Dikshu C. Kukreja, Managing Principal, CP Kukreja Architects, added:

“Architecture for education must do more than provide infrastructure; it must cultivate imagination, community, and resilience. At Harrow Bengaluru, we sought to craft a milieu where heritage and modernity converse, where sustainability is embedded in every gesture, and where the built environment itself becomes a teacher. This award reaffirms the responsibility of architecture to shape futures, not just buildings.”

    Sustainability at the Core

The design reimagines Harrow’s iconic brick architecture using locally sourced materials while drawing inspiration from Bengaluru’s palaces, gardens, and lakes. A 30-metre-high clock tower serves as both a symbolic anchor and an infrastructural core, reducing the campus’s ecological footprint.

    Key sustainability features include:

    • Bioswales and rainwater management for water sensitivity.

    • North-south building orientation to optimise daylight and ventilation.

    • Shaded arcades and courtyards to reduce heat gain.

    • Integration of high-performance systems with passive climate strategies.

The campus has been awarded a USGBC Platinum rating, reinforcing its status as a model for sustainable educational environments.

  • Jared Leto Gushes Over His Hero Jeff Bridges in Tron: Ares: He’s the Dude, Man. He’s the Best

Jared Leto Gushes Over His Hero Jeff Bridges in Tron: Ares: He’s the Dude, Man. He’s the Best

Jared Leto is stepping into the Grid with Tron: Ares, but for him, one of the most unforgettable parts of the journey has been sharing the screen with the franchise’s original star, Jeff Bridges. Speaking about their time together on set, Jared couldn’t hold back his admiration for the Oscar-winning actor who first brought Kevin Flynn to life in the 1982 cult classic.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight during the promotions, Jared said, “Oh, he’s the dude, man. He’s the best. Everything—he’s everything that you think he’s going to be. He’s kind, he’s fun, he’s funny, he’s generous. Safe to say, some of the most memorable moments from making the movie were the days that we had with Jeff. I wish I had more. I look forward to more in the future. He’s just a good person to be around, a great example of an awesome career. And I think the first time he walked on set, everyone just started applauding.”

For Leto, Bridges isn’t just a co-star but the soul of Tron. “It’s almost impossible to think of a Tron movie without him. Without him, you know? The malfunctioning program who wants to live.”

The actor also revealed that Bridges even gave him a nickname (Air) on set. “As long as he wants it to stay, it stays,” Leto laughed. “But I’ve learned a lot from him over the years. He’s been a great teacher from afar. To work with one of your heroes is just a beautiful thing.”

That hero-worship goes back to Leto’s childhood. “I walked into that movie when I was 12 years old, and it was one of those films that just changed my life. It was the technology, the creativity, the fun, the adventure. And he gave a brilliant performance in that first Tron, and of course the second one was incredible. So we are lucky to have him—and to kind of follow in his footsteps.”

Disney’s TRON: Ares releases in Indian theatres on 10th October 2025 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

  • Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital | India’s Leading Safe & Legal Abortion Centre

Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital | India’s Leading Safe & Legal Abortion Centre

India is a liberal country where abortion is permitted to a married women up to 20 weeks as per The Medical Termination of Pregnancy [MTP] Act 1971. The said Act was amended in the year 2021 & replaced the word “married” from “women” to cover unmarried girls & singles for safe abortion services. But, despite such positive changes, unsafe abortions in the country are the stark reality & approx. eight (8) women die daily due to unsafe abortions in India as per United Nations Population Fund [UNFPA] State of the World Population Report 2022. So, the inspiration & motivation came from this fact alone to save the life of women dying from unsafe abortions. That Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital was founded & established with the sole object to provide safe & legal abortion in India with dignity to all married, unmarried, single, divorcee, widows, abandoned, separated, women living in live in relationship, foetus with congenital abnormalities & minors with absolute privacy & confidentiality. The vision is to make India a safe destination for abortion services & any patient across the globe can have safe MTP with dignity.

You played a key role in the landmark Supreme Court judgment extending abortion rights for unmarried women up to 24 weeks—how do you reflect on the impact of this ruling?

Yes, the Special Leave Petition [SLP] was filed before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India by our legal team led by Advocate Dr. Amit Mishra for the abortion of 24 weeks of an unmarried women  and in the Landmark Judgment i.e X v. THE PRINCIPAL SECRETARY HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE & ANR GOVT. NCT OF DELHI 2022 [SCC ONLINE SC 905] DATED 29.09.2022  wherein the Hon’ble Supreme court expanded Abortion of unmarried women or singles from 20 weeks to 24 weeks in India & made Choice & Reproductive rights of the women a fundamental right. This judgment has benefitted a large number of unmarried girls to have safe abortion services in India and somewhere it will help in reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate [MMR] as well.

Privacy and confidentiality are central to your hospital’s model. How do you ensure this for minors, rape survivors, and even international patients who travel to you?

That Section 5A Medical Termination of Pregnancy [MTP] Act ensures absolute privacy of all patients looking for safe abortion services before any registered centre and that’s why the law has created deterrence in the form of punishment of one year to any person who violate the said law by disclosing the identity of the patient. It is also found that large number of clinics/centres/hospitals refuse to do ultrasound scan and abortion of minor patients & due to that they have to go for quacks or illegal centres for abortion & endangered their lives. Hence, it becomes the primary duty of Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital to provide safe & legal abortion services to minor, rape survivors girls carrying unwanted pregnancy with proper counselling & absolute privacy with dignity. Similarly, we cater international patients as well through online consultation & also assist in their medical visa.

Changing laws and perceptions around abortion in India is not easy. What personal or professional challenges did you face in this journey?

It is a stark & sad reality of our country that people still believe that abortion is illegal or it cannot be done without husband/partner/parents’ consent. These ignorance/myths need to dispel with awareness and correct facts. It is also true that changing of any codified law is not an easy task and it takes time and lot of efforts alongwith merits & substance in your case. In the landmark judgment X v. The Principal Secretary, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court refused to permit the petitioner for abortion of 23 weeks on the ground of being unmarried/single. But, the said order was challenged before the Hon’ble Supreme Court immediately after mentioning before the Chief Justice of India for listing the matter & argued on the law point that excluding unmarried women/singles from the beneficial provision of Rule 2B MTP Rules where minors, divorcee, widows, rape victims, physically disable or mentally challenged women are allowed for abortion will amount to discrimination & inequality & violation of Article 14, 19 & 21 of the Constitution of India. Hence, the law finally got changed in our country on 29.09.2022.

With thousands of successful procedures and patients from across the world, what do you think truly differentiates Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital from other healthcare providers?

Yes, it is a remarkable achievement for Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital that experienced team of doctors here have performed more than thousands of procedures safely & successfully & as a result, the Hospital has earned a good reputation & goodwill across the world with 4.9 ratings & approx. 6000 positive Google Reviews/feedback. Apart from law changer on the abortion rights of women, Dr. Rupali’s Abortion Hospital is a pioneer in providing safe & legal abortion services, all the procedures are done by the experienced team of female doctors under IV Anaesthesia with ultrasound guided & after suction evacuation procedure, an ultrasound scan also done to assure that uterus is clear. The privacy & confidentiality of the patient is highly maintained & all patients irrespective of their marital status treated & cared with full respect & dignity. Nonetheless, a follow up consultation & ultrasound scan is also done with the patient to assure that everything is all right. Moreover, it is proud to say that its exclusive women centric Abortion Hospital to maintain their absolute privacy where any girl can discuss their concern with the doctors openly without any hesitation. From consultation to ultrasound scan and to suction procedure, all will be performed under one roof by qualified team of female doctors and trained staff who understand their pain & situations at that moment without seeing the clock. Hence, these things make Dr. Rupali’s Abortion unique from the other clinics/centres.

A Nostalgic Nod to Bollywood’s Golden Era

Aryan Khan, with his much-talked-about directorial venture Bads of Bollywood, has struck the right chord with audiences by weaving in a heartfelt tribute to the timeless classic Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G). Known for its grandeur, unforgettable characters, and iconic dialogues, K3G has remained a cultural touchstone in Bollywood for over two decades. Aryan’s creative decision to channel its essence in his project has not only evoked nostalgia but also highlighted his keen eye for storytelling that resonates across generations.

In a landscape dominated by new-age narratives and experimental formats, Aryan’s nod to K3G is a reminder that Bollywood’s emotional core lies in its ability to merge style, sentiment, and spectacle. By bringing back that energy, Aryan has managed to connect with audiences who grew up watching the film while also introducing its magic to a younger audience.

  • Trump’s Immigration Overhaul: H-1B Fee and the New ‘Gold Card’ Visa

Trump’s Immigration Overhaul: H-1B Fee and the New ‘Gold Card’ Visa

In a dramatic move that could reshape America’s immigration and technology landscape, US President Donald Trump has announced a $100,000 (approximately ₹88 lakh) fee for H-1B visa applicants. The decision, unveiled through a presidential proclamation, has sparked widespread debate, especially in India, where tens of thousands of professionals depend on H-1B visas to work in the United States.

The proclamation marks one of Trump’s most aggressive steps yet in curbing what his administration calls an “abused visa system.” While the White House argues that the measure will ensure only “highly skilled” foreign workers enter the US, critics warn that it could choke innovation, hurt the tech sector, and disproportionately burden Indian applicants.

Why Trump Raised the Stakes on H-1B Visas

Explaining the rationale, President Trump emphasized that the decision was aimed at protecting American workers while still allowing the “best and brightest” to enter the country.

“We need workers. We need great workers, and this pretty much ensures that’s what’s going to happen,” Trump said while signing the order.

White House staff secretary Will Scharf echoed these sentiments, describing the H-1B program as one of the most abused visas in the system.

“By raising the sponsorship fee to $100,000, we are ensuring that companies are serious about hiring foreign talent and that those they bring in cannot simply be replaced by American workers.”

This substantial hike is not merely a deterrent—it is a statement of intent. Trump’s administration believes that companies will only be willing to pay such steep fees for candidates who are truly irreplaceable.

    What is the H-1B Visa?

The H-1B visa is a temporary US work visa created in 1990, designed to let American companies hire foreign professionals in specialized fields such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Key features of the program include:

    • Eligibility: Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in specialized areas.

    • Duration: The visa is initially valid for three years and can be extended up to six years.

    • Process: Candidates must register online with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A lottery system selects applicants due to overwhelming demand.

    • Employment Terms: Once approved, H-1B holders are entitled to equal pay and working conditions comparable to American workers.

While initially envisioned to fill critical labor shortages, the H-1B program has long been criticized by some policymakers who argue it is exploited by corporations to reduce costs and displace American talent.

Indians: The Biggest Beneficiaries—and Now the Hardest Hit

Indians have historically dominated H-1B visa allocations. In fact, government data shows that in 2024, 71% of all approved H-1B beneficiaries were from India, while China came second with just 11.7%.

Big tech companies, many of which rely heavily on Indian talent, are among the largest H-1B sponsors. For instance:

    • Amazon and AWS received approval for over 12,000 H-1B visas in the first half of 2025.

    • Microsoft and Meta Platforms secured more than 5,000 approvals each.

For Indian workers, however, Trump’s proclamation poses significant challenges. The $100,000 fee will be a recurring financial hurdle because:

    • H-1B visas must be renewed periodically if Green Card processing takes years, as it often does.

    • Each renewal would require paying the full fee again, pushing costs to potentially crores of rupees over time.

The situation is further complicated by the long Green Card backlogs faced by Indian applicants. With waiting periods stretching into decades, many Indian professionals may find themselves trapped in a cycle of expensive renewals.

Citizenship: A Higher Bar to Cross

The Trump administration is also tightening the pathway to US citizenship. Reports indicate the revival of a more rigorous civics test—first implemented during Trump’s 2020 term and later scrapped by the Biden administration.

Under the new plan, applicants must:

    • Study a pool of 128 questions covering US history and politics.

    • Correctly answer 12 out of 20 oral questions during their citizenship interview.

This tougher process adds another layer of difficulty for immigrants hoping to secure permanent residency and eventual citizenship in the United States.

Trump’s ‘Gold Card’ Visa: A Parallel Track for the Wealthy

In a move seemingly designed to contrast with the costly H-1B program, Trump also unveiled a new ‘Gold Card’ visa program.

    Key highlights:

    • Fees: $1 million for individual applicants; $2 million for business applicants.

    • Objective: Attract “extraordinary people at the very top” who can create businesses and jobs in America.

US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick defended the plan by criticizing the existing employment-based green card system.

“Historically, employment-based Green Cards brought in around 281,000 people a year, earning an average of just $66,000. Many were more likely to rely on government assistance. This was illogical. We were bringing in the bottom quartile. That stops now.”

The Gold Card, in contrast, aims to raise billions in revenue while ensuring only the wealthiest and most accomplished foreigners gain entry.

    Industry Concerns: Innovation at Risk

The business and tech communities have expressed concern over these developments. For decades, Silicon Valley has thrived on the influx of Indian engineers, scientists, and IT professionals who drive innovation and support America’s global competitiveness.

    Critics warn that:

    • Startups and mid-sized companies may be priced out of sponsoring foreign talent.

    • Indian professionals—especially younger ones—may seek opportunities in countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK, which have more immigration-friendly policies.

    • America’s edge in technology and research could weaken as talent pipelines shrink.

For Indians, the costs and hurdles may significantly discourage applications, leaving many to explore alternatives closer to home or in other global markets.

Conclusion: A New Era of Immigration Policy

Trump’s latest immigration policies mark a fundamental shift in how the US values foreign talent. The $100,000 H-1B fee signals an era where only the wealthiest companies and the most indispensable professionals can realistically participate in the program. Meanwhile, the Gold Card initiative tilts immigration benefits toward the wealthy elite, sidelining middle-class skilled workers who once formed the backbone of America’s tech boom.

For India, the implications are profound. As the country continues to supply the largest share of H-1B workers, this policy may not only disrupt thousands of careers but also reshape global tech ecosystems. With rising barriers in the US, more Indian professionals may turn their sights toward Europe, Canada, and Asia-Pacific hubs—changing the global balance of talent mobility.

The message from Washington is clear: immigration is no longer a tool for filling skill gaps, but a privilege reserved for the few who can afford it.
