  • DTDC transforms delivery truck into India’s newest cultural icon with the launch of the Nagaland Fleet at Hornbill Festival

DTDC transforms delivery truck into India’s newest cultural icon with the launch of the Nagaland Fleet at Hornbill Festival

7th January 2026, India: DTDC Express Ltd., one of India’s first homegrown multinational logistics companies, unveiled a powerful cultural initiative at the recently concluded Hornbill Festival 2025 in Nagaland, using its extensive delivery network to bring India’s lesser-known cultural stories into the national spotlight.

At the heart of the initiative was the Nagaland Fleet, a transformation of DTDC delivery trucks into moving cultural canvases. Created in collaboration with artists from Nagaland’s 17 tribes, the fleet showcased ‘Woven in Diversity’— artworks reflecting the state’s rich heritage, craftsmanship, and collective identity. Following the festival, these trucks are now travelling across India, carrying with them stories that have long remained regionally rooted but nationally unseen.

The Hornbill Festival, celebrated annually, brings together Nagaland’s tribes, traditions, and artistic expressions. Despite its cultural significance, much of this heritage has remained unfamiliar to audiences beyond the region. Through the Nagaland Fleet, DTDC used its scale and reach to take these stories beyond the festival grounds and across state borders.

Rahul Alam, one of the most prominent visual artists from the Sylheti Tribe, expressed, “There is very little awareness of Naga art worldwide, and even within India, it rarely appears in searches for ‘folk art of India.’ Our art is deeply rooted in motifs, symbolism, wood carving, and craftsmanship rather than realism. It reflects the unity and shared identity of our tribes. That’s why this initiative is so meaningful; it highlights authentic Naga art. I’m grateful to DTDC for providing us with this platform and helping our art reach a wider audience.”

A short film documenting the creation of the Nagaland Fleet captured the artistic process and the stories behind the artwork, offering audiences a deeper understanding of the people and traditions represented on the trucks.

Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO, DTDC Express Ltd., said, “I have always believed that our festivals uniquely define us as Indians. They connect us across distances and generations and keep our traditions alive. The Hornbill Festival reflects this spirit by bringing together the many tribes of Nagaland, each with its own stories, art and identity. Through the Naga Fleet, we are proud to help these stories travel across the country.”

Neha Bagchi, Head of Marketing, DTDC Express Ltd., added, “DTDC is made in India and made of India. Every Indian has a DTDC story, and in many ways, DTDC stands for every Indian’s story. ‘Har Tyohhar Mein Aapke Saath’ is our way of showing up wherever India celebrates, carrying aspirations, emotions, and identities across cities, states, and borders. By taking Nagaland’s art onto our trucks, we are ensuring that the spirit of one region can travel across the country and to the world.”

With a network covering 96% of India’s population, DTDC moves through cities, towns, and remote regions every day. This on-ground presence has shaped the brand’s belief that logistics can do more than deliver parcels— it can connect people, cultures, and identities. The Nagaland Fleet stood as a reflection of this belief in action.

Through this initiative, DTDC reinforced its identity as a purpose-driven Indian brand, one that leverages scale, infrastructure, and trust to bring the nation closer together. With the Nagaland Fleet now on the move, DTDC continues to demonstrate that its network carries more than shipments; it carries the living culture of India.

  • Gallant Sports Strengthens Grassroots Football with FIFA-Quality Fields in Tripura

Gallant Sports Strengthens Grassroots Football with FIFA-Quality Fields in Tripura

Tripura, 7 January 2026: Gallant Sports has achieved a major milestone in India’s sports infrastructure landscape with the successful delivery of two FIFA-standard football fields in Deocherra and Killa, Tripura. Executed in full alignment with international quality benchmarks, the projects mark a significant advancement for football development in the state, particularly in regions that have historically had limited access to world-class sporting facilities.

The newly commissioned football fields have been constructed in strict compliance with FIFA Quality standards, ensuring that athletes can train and compete on surfaces comparable to those used at professional and international levels. Both fields feature regulation-size layouts and high-performance synthetic turf systems designed to deliver uniform playing conditions throughout the year. The advanced turf technology provides consistent ball roll, controlled speed, and dependable traction, enabling players to perform at their best in both training sessions and competitive matches.

A key highlight of the Deocherra and Killa projects is the emphasis on engineering excellence and long-term durability. Gallant Sports deployed multi-layered foundation systems using compacted aggregates and elastic shock pads, ensuring superior structural stability and effective load distribution. This robust base construction not only enhances playing comfort but also significantly reduces surface fatigue and wear, even under intensive use. FIFA-approved, UV-resistant synthetic turf and premium infill materials were carefully selected to withstand Tripura’s climatic conditions while maintaining surface integrity and performance over extended periods.

Incorporating high-efficiency drainage systems, the football fields are designed to manage heavy rainfall and enable rapid surface water dispersion. This ensures minimal downtime during monsoon seasons and allows uninterrupted training and match schedules. The focus on drainage, sustainability, and lifecycle performance reflects Gallant Sports’ integrated approach to delivering sports infrastructure that remains operationally reliable and cost-effective over the long term.

Beyond technical precision, the impact of these football fields extends deeply into community development and grassroots engagement. The facilities provide aspiring footballers, local clubs, and professional players with access to international-standard playing environments, bridging the gap between grassroots participation and elite-level competition. The fields are expected to serve as hubs for local tournaments, structured coaching programs, and organized leagues, fostering a strong football culture across the region.

The Deocherra and Killa football fields also play a vital role in promoting youth participation and active lifestyles. By offering safe, high-quality spaces for sport, the projects encourage young athletes to pursue football seriously while supporting systematic talent identification and development across Tripura. This access to quality infrastructure is essential for nurturing future talent capable of competing at state, national, and international levels.

Commenting on the achievement, Nasir Ali, Founder and CEO of Gallant Sports, said, “These projects reflect our commitment to expanding access to world-class football infrastructure across India. By bringing FIFA-standard facilities to Tripura, we are creating platforms where talent can be discovered, nurtured, and elevated. Our goal is to ensure that geography is never a barrier to opportunity for aspiring athletes.”

The Deocherra football field now stands among the limited number of FIFA-standard facilities in the state, significantly elevating the benchmark for sports infrastructure in a geographically remote area. Meanwhile, the Killa football field further strengthens Tripura’s growing reputation as an emerging football destination, supported by durable, low-maintenance, and performance-driven design principles.

Completed within planned timelines and successfully commissioned, the FIFA-standard football fields at Deocherra and Killa exemplify Gallant Sports’ leadership in delivering high-impact, future-ready sports infrastructure. By empowering athletes, supporting communities, and strengthening grassroots and competitive football pathways, these projects are set to play a transformative role in shaping the next phase of football development in Tripura and the broader region.

From Historical Grace to Psychological Grit: Sheena Chohan’s Evolving Screen Persona

Exploring the Many Faces of Sheena Chohan Through Her Most Iconic Roles

In an industry where reinvention defines longevity, Sheena Chohan continues to defy expectations. Known for her fearless role choices and immersive performances, she shines across genres—from historical epics to intense psychological thrillers. Sheena brings authenticity to every frame. Each transformation leaves a lasting impact, and her latest Pan-Indian psychological thriller, Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam, about to release nationwide, in 5 languages, has everyone talking. Here’s a quick visual journey through some of her most loved and talked-about avatars. Let’s take a closer look at some of Sheena Chohan most loved and talked-about character posters, each reflecting a distinct phase of her artistic journey.

    1. Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam – Anusha, the Fearless Cop

One of Sheena Chohan’s most powerful transformations comes in the upcoming Pan-Indian film Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam (JMD), slated for release in five languages. The film is a psychological thriller, layered with intense drama, that steadily builds anticipation for its gripping narrative and atmospheric storytelling. In the striking character poster, Sheena is seen holding a gun, her eyes reflecting strength, resolve, and inner conflict. She portrays Anushaa, a determined police officer, sharing screen space with JD Chakravarthy. Her commanding presence hints at a performance driven by intensity and emotional depth. Directed by Shravan Jonnada and produced by Malkapuram Sivakumar under the banner of Suraksh Entertainment, JMD promises to showcase Sheena in a raw, power-packed avatar—one that firmly establishes her as a force in the thriller genre.

    2. Sant Tukaram – Avali Jija Bai, the Emotional Core

Sheena Chohan’s big Hindi-Bollywood debut, Sant Tukaram, earned her widespread recognition and critical acclaim. The historical film, based on the life of saint-poet Sant Tukaram, features Sheena as Avali Jija Bai, the strong-willed and devoted wife of the saint, played by Subodh Bhave. Directed by Aditya Om, the film beautifully captures her character as a practical, grounded woman balancing domestic responsibilities while supporting her husband’s spiritual journey. Critics and audiences alike praised her performance as the “emotional backbone of the film.”

Visually, the transformation was striking. Draped in a simple grey saree, Sheena embraced an authentic rural Maharashtrian look—minimal, earthy, and deeply rooted in history. This role proved her versatility and her ability to disappear completely into character.

    3. Bhaayava – Lilith, the Dark and Defiant

Perhaps her boldest transformation yet came with the VFX-heavy streaming series Bhaayava, produced by I Will Productions, where Sheena portrays Lilith—a powerful and complex mythological figure. Lilith, known as Adam’s first wife in biblical lore, was banished from Eden for refusing to submit. Over time, she has emerged as a symbol of independence, rebellion, and feminine power, often depicted as a dark, supernatural force.
In the poster, Sheena appears in a commanding devil avatar, with dark elements framing her presence—intense, otherworldly, and unforgettable. The role demanded six hours of daily makeup, along with rigorous acrobatic training, as she was hoisted nearly fifteen feet in the air, embodying an evil superwoman. The performance showcased not just physical endurance, but also Sheena’s willingness to explore complex, unconventional characters.

    4. Sheena Chohan on Her Choices

Speaking about her journey and transformations, Sheena shares:
“I never want to be typecast as an actress who can do only one kind of role. I want to experiment, learn new things, and understand my characters deeply. This helps me grow as an actress. From playing Avail Jija Bai—calm, positive, and inspiring—and then transforming into Lilith, the Devil, and now an intense cop in JMD, each role is completely different. That variation of bringing out the character’s arc in the magic of storytelling is what I truly love as an actor.”

    5. What’s Next? A Promising Year Ahead

With an exciting slate ahead—including her Tamil debut Arjunanin Allirani, written by acclaimed Tamil author B. Jeyamohan (known for Ponniyin Selvan: I), directed by Vino Vikraman Pillai (who directed Kafir), and featuring music by legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja and the Hollywood film Nomad—Sheena Chohan shows no signs of slowing down. From historical elegance, epic folk tales, to mythological depth and contemporary intensity, she continues to reinvent herself with fearless versatility. With Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam adding another powerful turn to her journey, it’s clear this is just the beginning of an ever-evolving, inspiring career.

  • Seerat Commands the Storm in the Intense New Look of Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam Poster

Seerat Commands the Storm in the Intense New Look of Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam Poster

Welcoming 2026 on a thrilling note, Team JMD and Seerat Kapoor unveiled a brand-new poster of its highly anticipated Telugu psychological thriller, extending New Year wishes to audiences across the country. The visually arresting poster was shared on social media by the director of the film and also the actress Seerat Kapoor.

The newly unveiled poster offers a haunting window into the film’s bleak, rain-drenched universe. Seerat Kapoor appears in a strikingly evocative frame—isolated, fragile, and burdened by an unspoken emotional weight. Stripped of glamour and defined by restrained styling and raw physicality, her look leans into stark realism, suggesting a deeply performance-oriented role that may mark a turning point in her on-screen persona. Set against a brooding urban backdrop, her expression reflects a character caught in a web of fear, mystery, and inner turmoil, inviting viewers to unravel her journey. The poster amplifies intrigue while firmly establishing the film’s dark, intense, and unsettling mood.

What makes Seerat’s presence particularly compelling is the contrast she brings to the film’s dark masculine energy. While the poster also features JD Chakravarthy and Naresh Agastya in intense, shadowed frames, Seerat’s character feels like the emotional anchor of the narrative—someone whose journey is as crucial as the unfolding crime and chaos hinted at in the title Jhatasya Maranam Dhruvam (Death Is Certain for the Born).

Sharing the poster on her social media she worte, New Year. A New Awakening. One Inevitable Truth.

The rain, the city lights, and the lone figure walking forward create a metaphor for inevitability—and Seerat embodies that theme with striking authenticity. Her eyes convey questions the story promises to answer: Is she a victim, a survivor, or a force that alters destinies?

The pan-India project, directed by Shravan Jonnada and produced by Malkapuram Sivakumar under the banner of Suraksh Entertainment, has been steadily building buzz for its intense subject matter and atmospheric storytelling. Slated for release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the film promises to be a genre-defining psychological thriller that combines suspense, forensic intrigue, and profound psychological depth. The film is all set to be released early this year.
