The morning began with a 45-minute yoga session led by Praveen Kumar, a distinguished yoga practitioner who recently won India a gold medal at the 2nd Asian Yogasana Championship, offering participants the chance to learn under his expert guidance.

One of the highlights of the event was a dynamic yoga demonstration by the disciples of Uttar Pradesh Yogasana Sports Association and Shivalay Yoga Centre, showcasing the strength, flexibility, and discipline that yoga inspires.

At Gaur City Mall, we take pride in being more than just a retail destination,” said Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group. “Our Yoga Day celebration is a heartfelt tribute to India’s timeless yogic legacy, rooted in balance, discipline, and inner harmony. Through such initiatives, we aim to nurture healthier lifestyles and bring people together in the spirit of collective growth, wellness, and cultural pride.”

To deepen the experience, a 10-minute guided meditation followed, leaving attendees feeling centred and rejuvenated. Adding a joyful twist, a vibrant Dance Yoga session by Niyati, a certified Zumba trainer, infused the space with positive energy and movement.

The event served as a glowing reminder that Yoga is not just exercise — it is an experience of harmony and balance, aligning mind, body, and soul. FHRAI Organizes Yoga Sangam on International Yoga Day 2025, Embracing “Yoga for All”

Ghaziabad/NCR, June 21, 2025: On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with various institutes in India and abroad, organized yoga events under the banner of Yoga Sangam at Atmantan Wellness Centre, Mulshi, Maharashtra; Yashoda Medicity, Shakti Khand -2, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and Jiva Ayurveda, Faridabad. All these events were fully supported by the Ministry of AYUSH.

The session commenced with the live broadcast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address and yoga session, which was joined by millions from across the globe. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said,

“After 11 years, we are witnessing people doing yoga even in space. Be it the steps of the Opera House or the heights of Mount Everest, one message echoes everywhere: yoga is for all and belongs to all. Yoga transcends boundaries, age, and ability.”

He further added, “This spirit of public participation is the foundation of a developed India. When citizens take ownership of a movement, set their own goals, no force can stop them from achieving success. The will and effort of the people are visible everywhere.

The idea of ‘Me to We’ is the soul of India. When an individual rises above self-interest to think of society, that is when the welfare of humanity becomes possible. Indian culture teaches us ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’. This journey from ‘Me to We’ is the essence of service, dedication, and co-existence. Such a mindset promotes social harmony.”

People from all walks of life across the length and breadth of the country came together to take part in Yoga Sangam with great zeal and enthusiasm. From wellness professionals to first-time participants, students to senior citizens — each gathering reflected the unifying and transformative spirit of yoga. The celebrations were not just limited to urban centers but also witnessed strong participation from tier-2 cities and rural regions, turning Yoga Day into a true grassroots movement for well-being.

Mr. Jaison Chacko, Secretary General, FHRAI, added, “It was an honour to be part of Yoga Sangam 2025. Yoga today is a symbol of India’s cultural leadership and commitment to global wellness. We are grateful to the Ministry of Ayush for making this event possible. The enthusiastic response from Ghaziabad reflects the growing public awareness around health, harmony, and sustainability.”
