Mumbai, October 2025 — The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) proudly presents Converging Streams: Ananta, a groundbreaking Indo-jazz fusion concert led by violin virtuoso Yadnesh Raikar, pianist Arka Chakraborty, and percussionist Shravan Samsi. The performance will be held on October 12, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Experimental Theatre, NCPA.

Ananta — meaning infinite — captures the boundless power of music to inspire, connect, and transcend. It represents not just a collaboration, but a convergence of musical lineages, legacies, and innovations, with Yadnesh Raikar’s musical artistry at its core.

YADNESH RAIKAR – A VISIONARY Born into a lineage of musical excellence, Yadnesh Raikar is the son and disciple of Swarpradnya Pandit Milind Raikar and has been guided by legends such as Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar, Pandit Arun Kashalkar, and Vidwan Dr. L. Subramaniam.

A prodigy who picked up the violin at just 2 years old, Yadnesh effortlessly masters three distinct traditions — Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western Jazz. His fearless approach bends boundaries, blending classical rigor with bold experimentation to create performances that feel less like concerts and more like living, breathing works of art.

    • Merging Parallels: Seamlessly unites Hindustani and Carnatic traditions.
    • Strings in Motion: Expands further, fusing Indian classical with Jazz, Arabic, Electronic, and global soundscapes.

Yadnesh’s artistry has earned him worldwide recognition, from Rolling Stone’s “Future of Music 25” to the prestigious Uttung Puraskar (2015) and the Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award (2018), presented by the Hon’ble Vice President of India. He has captivated audiences across premier stages in India, the UAE, the UK, and the USA, leaving a lasting mark with his vision, versatility, and soul-stirring performances.

Alongside his spellbinding live performances across the globe, his remarkable contributions to the Bollywood music industry and celebrated cross-cultural collaborations with maestros such as Amaal Malik, Arijit Singh, Jubin Nautiyal, Shreya Ghoshal, Nitin Sawhney, and Niladri Kumar have earned him immense respect and admiration. Celebrated not just for his artistry but for the soul he brings to music, he continues to inspire generations within the industry and beyond.

This performance at NCPA marks a milestone moment — the first-ever time Indian audiences will witness Yadnesh Raikar’s Jazz-Fusion expression live on home soil.

ANANTA: THE INFINITE alongside Yadnesh’s visionary leadership, Ananta brings together two dynamic musicians:

ASLI Ageing Fest: Empowering Seniors with Fashion & Community

Mumbai, India — The Seniors Fashion Show, the highlight of the 6th ASLI Ageing Fest, turned the spotlight on a powerful message: life after 60 is not about merely adding years, but about enriching them with vitality, joy, and meaning. Far from being a chapter of retreat, the show embodied renewal—an opportunity to embrace fresh beginnings, craft new experiences, and showcase individuality with grace and confidence.

With seniors owning the runway, ASLI (Association of Senior Living India) reaffirmed that ageing is not about slowing down, but about living more deeply, strengthening bonds, and expressing oneself without hesitation. The evening, held at The Lalit, Mumbai, celebrated later life as a journey of dignity, creativity, and purpose.

A Blend of Tradition and Contemporary Flair

This year’s theme drew inspiration from Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage, reimagined through haute couture and progressive design by Celebrity Haute Designer Shilpi Choudhury of Haute Couture Studio. Women lit up the stage in Met Gala-inspired avatars, blending timeless tradition with avant-garde aesthetics. Men made a striking statement in couture featuring bold digital prints of peacock feathers, paired with distinguished headgear inspired by the historic Peshwa pagdi—an elegant marriage of heritage and modern sophistication.

A Spirit of Celebration and Reinvention

The spirit of reinvention was championed by Paranjape Schemes, the proud sponsor of the Seniors Fashion Show. The spotlight of the evening was Mr. Shashank Paranjape, whose presence highlighted the organisation’s commitment to building communities where ageing is embraced as a phase of confidence, opportunity, and grace.

    Sponsors Driving the Movement

The 6th ASLI Ageing Fest was powered by the collective support of visionary sponsors:

Platinum Sponsors: Paranjape Schemes and RTR, Ready to Retire (incubated by Bajaj Capital)

Silver Sponsors: Alphind Healthcare, BridgeHealth, Cradle of Life, Emoha Eldercare and Heyday by House of Incor

Together, these partners underscored India’s growing movement to build an inclusive society—one that respects, empowers, and celebrates its seniors.

  • Tuka Mhane Kahe Kabira – A Musical Dialogue of Two Paths of Bhaktimarg: Saguna and Nirguna

Tuka Mhane Kahe Kabira – A Musical Dialogue of Two Paths of Bhaktimarg: Saguna and Nirguna

Mumbai, September 2025: Pancham Nishad proudly presents “Tuka Mhane Kahe Kabira”, a unique evening of devotional and spiritual music that celebrates the timeless philosophies of Sant Tukaram and Sant Kabir. The concert will be held on Thursday, 25th September 2025, 6:30 pm onwards at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

Saint Kabir and Saint Tukaram, though separated by regions, languages, and traditions, remain united in spirit—one rooted in devotion to Lord Vithoba (Saguna Bhakti), the other immersed in the formless divine (Nirguna Bhakti). Tukaram’s Abhangas capture the beauty of Vithoba and the philosophy of everyday life, while Kabir’s verses confront life’s truths with disarming simplicity. Despite humble professions—Tukaram as a trader and Kabir as a weaver—both transcended worldly duties to embrace a higher calling, finding the divine in daily life, whether in trade or in weaving.

In this programme, acclaimed vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi will bring alive the soulful Abhangwani of Sant Tukaram, while Bhuvanesh Komkali will render the profound Kabirwani, weaving together two timeless voices in one powerful musical dialogue.

Adding depth and context, Dr. Dhanashree Lele will guide the audience as the content narrator, presenting insights into the philosophies of these two paths, as represented by the saints in Marathi and Hindi, respectively. The evening will be enriched with an ensemble of accomplished co-artistes: Mandar Puranik (Tabla), Dnyaneshwar Sonawane (Harmonium), Sukhad Munde (Pakhwaj), Ninad Mulaokar (Flute), and Suryakant Surve (Additional Rhythms).

Speaking about the programme, Jayateerth Mevundi said: “Sant Tukaram’s Abhangas are not just devotional verses; they are reflections of life itself. Every line carries the rhythm of the common man’s struggles and surrender to Vithoba. Singing them is like conversing with the divine.”

Bhuvanesh Komkali added, “Kabir’s poetry compels us to face the truth. His words are sharp, fearless, and liberating. To present Kabirwani on such a platform is both a responsibility and a joy.”

Shashi Vyas, Founder-Director of Pancham Nishad, shared: “Kabir and Tukaram may differ in language, geography, and bhakti traditions, but their core message is one—the eternal search for truth. Through ‘Tuka Mhane Kahe Kabira’, we aim to weave their voices into a single musical dialogue, interspersed with studious narration by Dr. Dhanashree Lele, resonating with today’s audience.”

We are honored to continue sharing this joy with the community,” said the Festival Committee of Nellai Heights.

    Quotes of the performing Artist:

We are delighted to present Tribhukti, a special Indian classical music concert curated by Shashi Vyas, on the occasion of the Ganesh Festival. For decades, this festival was celebrated with Indian classical music concerts, where some of the greatest masters offered their art as devotion. In recent years this tradition has become less frequent, and through Tribhukti, Vinay and I feel privileged to be a part of reviving it. It is our humble offering to Lord Ganesha and to the timeless cultural heritage of our music. – says Anuja Zokarkar

It is both a true honour and a joy to be part of Tribhukti, along with my wife Anuja Zokarkar, this year. As we all know Mumbai’s Ganesh festival scenario once resounded with the music of great maestros, and by reviving this tradition, Tribhukti beautifully reconnects the festival with its rich musical heritage. I am deeply thankful to Shashi Vyasji for taking up this thoughtful initiative ahead, which not only preserves a glorious legacy but also adds a refreshing vibe that nurtures the place of Classical Music in today’s cultural celebrations – say’s Vinay Ramdasan

    Preserving a Tradition

Mumbai’s Ganesh Festival once resounded with the voices of legendary maestros such as Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Mallikarjun Mansoor, and Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki. In recent years, however, the presence of classical music in such celebrations has declined. By hosting Tribhukti, Nellai Heights proudly upholds this cultural legacy and inspires other communities to integrate classical music into their festivities—preserving tradition while nurturing future generations.
