“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0”: Gaurs Group’s Commitment to a Greener UP

New Delhi, July 12, 2025: In a strong show of support for the Uttar Pradesh Government’s ambitious “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” campaign, Gaurs Group has launched a widespread plantation drive across its key real estate projects. The initiative spans Gaur Yamuna City (Yamuna Expressway), Gaur City (Greater Noida West), Gaur Airocity (Ghaziabad), and Siddharth Vihar, along with all three Gaurs International Schools.

The campaign aligns with the UP Government’s Mega Plantation Drive 2025, which aims to plant 370 million saplings to combat climate change and promote ecological balance.

    Reaffirming Commitment to Green Development

Speaking about the initiative, Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group, emphasized the company’s deep-rooted values:

“Environmental consciousness has always been an integral part of our development philosophy. Through consistent green initiatives, we have remained acutely aware of the real estate sector’s responsibility in mitigating environmental issues like pollution and climate change. Supporting the Uttar Pradesh Government’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign is not just our duty—it aligns with our mission to build healthier, greener, and more responsible communities. This plantation drive is another step towards ensuring a more sustainable future for our residents and generations to come.”

    Student-Led Initiative Instils Environmental Responsibility

The plantation drive was organised by Gaurs Foundation, the CSR arm of Gaurs Group, in collaboration with Raahgiri Trust. Notably, the effort was led by students of Gaurs International School, making the initiative an educational experience as well as an environmental one. This hands-on activity helped instil a lasting sense of ecological stewardship among the younger generation.

    Driving Long-Term Environmental Impact

Over the years, Gaurs Group has demonstrated a consistent focus on sustainability through various CSR programs. These include major social welfare and renewable energy initiatives—most notably, the establishment of a 15MW solar power plant.

With every initiative, Gaursons India Private Limited continues to reaffirm its vision of environmentally responsible urban living, while aligning itself with state and national goals for a cleaner, greener India.
